La société américaine Enzon Pharmaceuticals a annoncé hier la vente de ses activités de spécialités pharmaceutiques au laboratoire italien Sigma-Tau. La transaction s`élève à près de 327 millions de dollars. L`entreprise américaine, spécialisée dans le développement de médicaments pour les malades du cancer, touchera également une redevance allant de 5 % à 10 % du montant des ventes des quatre produits cédés à son concurrent, et ce jusqu`en 2014. L`opération sera effective au premier trimestre de l`année prochaine. Enzon souhaite maintenant se recentrer sur son activité de plate-forme technologique.

La société américaine Enzon a annoncé lundi la cession de son activité de médicaments de spécialistes à l`italien Sigma-Tau pour un montant pouvant aller jusqu`à 327 millions de dollars, en numéraire. Enzon va initialement recevoir 300 millions de dollars puis un montant additionnel allant jusqu`à 27 millions en fonction de la performance des produits. Il percevra des royalties de 5% à 10% sur les ventes.

the specialty pharmaceutical business of Enzon Pharmaceuticals of Bridgewater, N.J., for up to $327 million. The deal, which also includes a manufacturing plant in Indianapolis, comprises $300 million, plus up to $27 million based on success milestones. In addition, Enzon will also receive royalties of 5 percent to 10 percent on
incremental net sales above a 2009 baseline amount from Enzon`s four marketed specialty drugs through 2014.
